Learnings/Key Takeaways:
With the experiment showing clear results, let's break down:
why it worked (key to success)
lessons learned
what he would change if he could it all over again
Over the 66 days, these were his most important learnings:
1) consistency>intensity - 1 thread a day is possible but takes time and planning
2) The world doesn't happen to you, you have to happen to the world (make things happen)
3) The harder you work the luckier you get. 66 days threads = 66 chances to “go viral.”
4) Do more things with asymmetric upside (ie posting a tweet). The worst thing that happens is no one reads it
What he credits for his success:
1) Was super consistent (did it daily)
2) Repurposed content on linkedin, exposure to people not on twitter
3) Batch threads writing on Sundays to get in to a flow state for writing
Moving forward
Arjun plans to leverage this 66 day sprint to: - Create his own DAO - Start an interview series with founding teams of DAO's - Build closer relationships with his audience A prime example of the power of audience building
General Takeaways (for anyone!)
While this 66 day experiment might not be for everyone, what anyone can takeaway is - Audience growth is about providing value X consistency - Growth compounds and takes time, don’t quit too early (commit) - Community and building with your audience is a powerful thing
That’s all for now!
